IBC Tote Scale General Description
When feeding chemicals such Fluoride, Polymer and Sodium Hypochlorite, it is imperative to have a way to accurately track chemical usages and feed rates. In fact many government regulations require you to document chemical usages and there is no more accurate method than using a weight-based chemical monitoring system.
Compared to intrusive tank level technologies, using a scale is inherently more accurate because a scale operates independent of vessel shape, temperature, corrosive fumes and specific gravity of the chemical. Even more importantly for the operator, since there is no need to place a sensor into the tote or chemical as other technologies require, the chance of operator/chemical contact is greatly reduced. Also, using a scale does not add any time to the tote change out procedure. The empty tote is lifted or rolled off the platform, the new one rolled or forked on, the process plumbing connected and the system is ready to go.
Our heavy duty platform scales come standard with the exclusive chemical resistant Tuf-Coat™ finish or are offered in optional 316 stainless steel. An adjustable backstop on the scale platform allows the tote to be rapidly placed in the same position each time for process connection alignment and optimum scale accuracy.

When feeding chemicals, such as Fluoride, Polymer and Sodium Hypochlorite, it is imperative that you have a way of accurately tracking chemical usages and feed rates. In fact, many government regulations require you to document chemical usages, and there is no more accurate method than using a weight based chemical monitoring system.
Compared to intrusive tank level technologies, weight is an inherently more accurate means of measuring level contents because it is independent of vessel shape, temperature, corrosive fumes and specific gravity of the contents. Using the CHEM-SCALE for your inventory management results in an inexpensive, non-contacting, highly reliable method of tracking chemical levels, usages and feed rates.
These heavy-duty platform scales are available with our chemical resistant Tuf-Coat finish or in 316 stainless steel and have adjustable tank anchoring/restraint clips mounted directly to the scale platform.
The restraint clips provide lateral stability and can be used in conjunction with our hold down straps to further secure the tank for extreme protection in the event of a natural disaster such as a flood, earthquake or high winds.

Chlor-Scale 150 General Description
When we launched the CHLOR-SCALE 150 in 1993, we changed the way the world weighs chlorine gas cylinders. Up until then, mechanical and electronic chlorine cylinder scales, ammonia cylinder scales and SO2 cylinder scales were not designed with the user in mind. They were hard to repair, remote mounted indicators were not available, and the scales required replacement every year or two due to corrosion. We took our 25 years of hydraulic scale manufacturing experience and created the first ever hydraulic chlorine cylinder scale.
We designed the CHLOR-SCALE 150 specifically to weigh chlorine gas, sulfur dioxide & ammonia cylinders used in small treatment plants, well heads, booster stations and at industrial plants. A low overall height of less than 1-7/8 inches (4.7 cm) allows cylinders to be easily rolled on and off the scale platform without lifting and our included wall-mounted chaining bracket provides the safest possible installation by securing the cylinder to the building structure itself.
Optional remote mounted indicators (up to 25') provide operators with an added level of convenience and safety by preventing unnecessary entry into the chlorine building. The CHLOR-SCALE 150 has a 100% solid PVC platform and the few fasteners and fittings are corrosion resistant. This makes our cylinder scale survive for years and years without any damage from corrosion, UV light, impact or abrasion. Our incredibly simple "pivoted platform" design has no moving parts either. This means that there are no flexures, levers or mechanical links that are susceptible to corrosion, bending or breaking.
We can combine any of our hydraulic and electronic indicators with the Chlor-Scale 150 making it possible to create a cylinder scale that gives you exactly what your application requires.

Chlorine Tank Scale for Ton Containers
Chlor-Scale General Description
Today, after almost 50 years and over 25,000 units installed worldwide, the Chlor-Scale® continues to be the most durable and reliable chlorine scale available for monitoring chlorine ton containers and sulfur dioxide ton containers. Our chlorine ton container scale frames are built of heavy-duty Grade ASTM A36 steel and then coated with a 2-part epoxy powder coat finish. UHMW Polyethylene or Zinc plated steel roller trunnions safely cradle the chlorine ton container and allow easy rotation of the tank for correct valve positioning.
The unique pivoted design of the Chlor-Scale requires only a single load cell, increasing scale reliability. The design also distributes the majority of impact during tank loading to massive steel hinges instead of to the load cell, adding even further to the durability of our chlorine scales.
Unlike other chlorine scales, the Chlor-Scale comes pre-calibrated and installation is extremely simple with no pit or special installation personnel required. The Chlor-Scale accommodates most international chlorine drum sizes including tanks and chlorine drums with roller bands.
4-20mA outputs allow real time chemical status to be viewed from your PLC or computer and other options include low-level alarm relays, tank restraining straps or chains, and chart recorders. Chlor-Scale models are available for monitoring up to six manifolded chlorine ton containers.
